Cercis chinensis Chinese Redbud

DESCRIPTION: An attractive small to medium deciduous tree. Small rose pink, pea-like flowers, form in clusters on the bare branches in spring. Smooth dark green, heart shaped leaves follow, along with ornamental seed pods.

TREE CARE: Plant in a well drained and well worked soil. Take care to plant the bud union above the soil level. Water in well and keep soil moist until tree is established. Fertilise when planting and again after new growth appears. Prune to shape if necessary.
