Lagerstroemia indica x fauriei Sioux Crepe Myrtle

Lagerstroemia indica x fauriei Sioux Crepe Myrtle

FEATURES: ‘Sioux’ is a superb deciduous, multi-stemmed small tree. Foliage is tinted dark bronze, becoming darker green with maturity and russet red to purple shades during Autumn. Attractive greyish brown mottled smooth bark. During Summer through to Autumn masses of mid to dark pink coloured flowers with crinkled petals are formed in long tapered panicles. Reaches approx. 4 m tall and 4 m wide.

CONDITIONS: Prefers a well-drained rich soil in a sunny position. Will tolerate most soil conditions and dry periods once established.

FOR BEST RESULTS: Can be lightly pruned during late Winter to develop a strong multi-stemmed form. Trim spent flowers to encourage second flush. Feed early Spring and during main flowering season with well balanced fertiliser and compost.
