04 Apr Wisteria brachybotris Shiro Kapitan
DESCRIPTION: Spectacular, deciduous climber producing short racemes of fragrant, creamy-white flowers during spring.
USES: Ideal for climbing up walls, arches or pergolas where they provide summer shade.
POSITION: Prefers a sunny, well drained site with fertile, moist soil and solid support. Frost tolerant.
CARE: Keep moist during dry weather until established. Prune shoots after flowering back to 5-6 buds, to promote profuse flowering.
PLANTING: Cultivate soil before planting. Dig hole twice the width of the container. Remove plant from container and place into the hole so the soil level is the same as the surrounding ground.
