Betula nigra River Birch

DESCRIPTION: A magnificent tree that is admired
for its beautiful bark. The peeling bark is
salmon-pink, smooth and shiny then it flakes and
curls in cinnamon—brown to blackish sheets. The
foliage is glossy and green in a diamond shape with
silvery undersides. The foliage turns yellow in
Autumn. A beautiful specimen or border tree.

 

TREE CARE: Plant in well drained and worked soil.
Take care to plant the bud union above the soil level.
Water in well and keep soil moist until the tree is
established. Fertilise when planting and again after the new growth.
